I just wanted to share this story with you. Clay slept with me when we lived at my dad's house and he got used to being with me at night. When Mark and I got married he got his own room and slept by himself. He did good for a while. After about a 2 years, he began to have bad dreams and then it went to him saying that he might have a bad dream, just to sleep with us. Thanks to Wanda, she told us about her mom telling them to put a Bible under their pillow for the bad dreams. Mark and I thought we would at least try it. Clay really liked the idea and he would say things like, "mom will God help me to not have the bad dreams?" and "Are you sure the Bible is going to work?". I told him that I knew it would work and he had to believe it too. He had a small new testiment Bible that he used for a little while; every night the small Bible would get lost in his bed. Then he asked for a larger Bible. I gave him one and even now when we go in to tuck him into bed he pulls his pillow up and moves his Bible into the "right spot" and and lays his pillow down over top of it and then lays his head right over the Bible. Sometimes when I go in to check on him he has his hand under his pillow holding onto the Bible. It is so precious. One day I was cleaning Chad's room and found a Bible under his pillow ;-) Even though I didn't think he paid any attention to what we were telling Clay, he was listening. You never know who will be around to hear what you say. I'm thankful it still works for him too. I pray for them to just lean on God as they grow up.

I love the picture and am so glad to be a part of Clay's life. He means the world to me, love him so and Mom would be so tickled that she is still helping kids. :-)
What a precious story! It is so great that you teach your kids to lean on the Lord. He is the best friend we could ever have.
That is the sweetest story and picture! He has such a good heart!
