TOO FUNNY!!!

Let me tell you the funniest story.. A few weeks before school was out; Clay came home with a poster about an 8x10 size of Bill Ballance. He was all excited about it. This was just the coolest thing ever. Well I said "Clay, we go to Church with Bill" his response was "no we do not" then he was like, well I haven't ever seen him, and I responded "thats because you are always asleep". So for the last couple of months Clay has been on the look out for Bill Ballance; and of course he has usually been asleep or just not paying attention when he is awake. This leads me up to tonight. We came up the steps from downstairs and I saw Bill thru the first set of doors and I leaned down and told Clay to look at the Blue and White striped shirt it was Bill. Well the child just about went into a fit in the foyer. As we walked by Bill, Clay gave a "glance" and tried to get a good look, well he tripped. After we got to the front I asked Clay if he saw him and he was in just a state of awe. He acted like he was stretching to get another look. He was acting very shy and just unbelievably nervous. I offered to take him back to say hi and he didn't want to do that. Well Wanda asked what was wrong with Clay because we were wispering so much and Clay was just acting so funny. I told her that he had just seen "Bill Ballance" and was just a mess now. She went back and told Bill about it. Then Bill came and sat on the bench behind us and talked to Clay, I think his heart just about stopped and all he could say was "uh huh". His eyes were as big as half dollars. After Bill went back to set down Clay looked up to me and said "Mom that was the coolest thing ever-talking to Bill Ballance" and grinned the biggest grin ever. As soon as Church was over he wanted to tell him bye. I think Bill has made a friend for life. I just think this was so funny and so cute, its just so amazing how these kids think. I am thankful that Clay can look up to someone who believes like we do. I just love my Church, so many different kinds of people from all different places and backgrounds.
